Annie Sloan / Cochran Fellow
Annie joined NSBHF as a Cochran Fellow in 2023.
Before joining NSBHF, Annie clerked for Chief Judge Mary H. Murguia of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Chief Judge Mark R. Hornak of the Western District of Pennsylvania. She also worked at a plaintiff-side employment discrimination firm in New York City.
Before law school, Annie was a legal assistant at GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders where she assisted attorneys in all aspects of litigation and policy advocacy. Annie worked closely with the legal team that represented the plaintiffs in Obergefell v. Hodges, the landmark Supreme Court decision establishing nation-wide marriage equality.
