Christina Paige / Social Worker

A licensed clinical social worker who has been working in the field since 1995, Christina has experience with a wide variety of clients and disciplines. As a medical social worker at Stanford University’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, she helped clients and their families manage complex problems by finding and assembling appropriate supports, ensuring clear communication, and helping clients get the care they need most. As a clinical care manager at the Boston area’s innovative MHSPY (Massachusetts Health Services Program for Youth), she helped keep families together, and helped reform the system of care in dealing with mental illness, trauma, and the interventions of the criminal justice system. And most recently at the Brooklyn Legal Aid Society, she worked closely with attorneys in the Criminal Defense Practice, helping clients achieve alternatives to incarceration.

Christina began working for NSBHF in 2016 as the firm’s clinical social worker. She helps clients as they navigate their return home, oftentimes after decades of wrongful incarceration. Christina is committed to gaining a comprehensive understanding of her clients’ lives, helping them identify what they need most, and helping them build on their strengths. She often helps clients navigate complex medical, occupational, housing and mental health systems. If crises occur, she can be there, along with friends and family members, providing support and understanding, making certain they are safe, and helping them get back to enjoying their freedom to the fullest.
