Lucia Geng / Paralegal

Lucia joined NSBHF as a paralegal in 2022. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a major in Political Science and minors in Human Rights and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. While at UChicago, Lucia facilitated creative writing workshops for incarcerated youths through the Bridge Writing Workshop at IYC-St. Charles. Previously, Lucia interned with the Exoneration Project, the Orleans Public Defenders, and the ACLU’s National Prison Project. She has reported and written pieces about social justice issues for outlets such as the South Side Weekly, Dissent, and Shadowproof. Lucia is also a proud two-time Jeopardy! loser.
