Saunders v. City of Chicago: Over $16 million in settlements with the City of Chicago and Cook County for innocent teen who spent 16 years wrongly incarcerated based on a fabricated confession.

Wright v. City of Philadelphia: $9.85 million wrongful conviction settlement for fabricating confession and planting evidence causing 25 years wrongful incarceration—largest wrongful conviction settlement ever with the Philadelphia Police.

Restivo v. Hessemann: Won $36 million jury verdict against Nassau County officer who framed two innocent men for rape and murder; obtained total compensation of over $48.5 million.

Deskovic v. Putnam County: Won $41.65 million jury verdict against New York officer who fabricated confession from innocent teen, causing his 16 years wrongful imprisonment. One of the largest and largest per-year wrongful conviction jury verdicts ever.

Bivens v. Forrest County: With co-counsel Lathrop GPM, obtained $20.5 million settlement for families of three Black men wrongly convicted of murder; largest wrongful conviction settlement in Mississippi.

Counts v. City of New York: Nearly $14 million in total settlements for New York City man who spent 25 years wrongly imprisoned for rape.

McIntyre v. Kansas City, Kansas: $12.5 million settlement from Kansas City, Kansas for man who spent 23 years wrongly imprisoned based on acts of corrupt detective.

Wilson v. City of New York: $16.6 million in total settlements for coercing and fabricating confession from innocent New York teen, causing 22 years wrongful incarceration.

Tapp v. City of Idaho Falls: $11.7 million settlement for 20 years wrongful incarceration; largest wrongful conviction settlement in Idaho.

Gates v. District of Columbia: $16.65 million mid-trial settlement for innocent man framed for rape and murder, causing 27.5 years of wrongful incarceration.

DiPippo v. County of Putnam: $14.9 million settlement for 19 years of wrongful imprisonment.

Mann v. Walder: $2,272,274 jury award— including first ever loss-of-life damages award in New Jersey— for family of unarmed Ramapough Lenape Nation man shot and killed by Park Police.

Tankleff v. County of Suffolk: Over $13 million in settlements for 17 years wrongful imprisonment.

Allen v. City of St. Louis: $14 million settlement for 30 years wrongful imprisonment based on fabrications by crime laboratory analyst.

Halsey v. Pfeiffer: $12.5 million settlement for 22 years wrongful imprisonment and Third Circuit Decision establishing claim for fabrication of evidence by police.

Hatchett v. City of New York: $14.75 million in total settlements for fabrication of eyewitness identification evidence, causing nearly 25 years of wrongful incarceration.

Hollman v. City of Philadelphia: $9.8 million pre-filing settlement for 28 years wrongful conviction—second largest wrongful conviction settlement ever with the Philadelphia Police Department.   

Connor v. City of New York: Approximately $11 million in total settlements for 16 years wrongful incarceration caused by detectives’ coercion of an unreliable informant.

Santiago v. United States: $1.18 million settlement for 3 women sexually abused by correctional officer in NYC federal jail.

Denny v. City of New York: With co-counsel Cravath, Swain & Moore, LLP, obtained $14.75 million in total settlements for 29 years of wrongful imprisonment.

Moyer v. Lebanon County: Approximately $5 million settlement for family of teenager who died from heroin withdrawal in Pennsylvania jail.

Nagle v. Gusman: $2 million settlement for jail’s failure to prevent man’s suicide, highest settlement against the Orleans Parish Sheriff.

Lewis v. City of New Haven: $15 million total award for Connecticut man who spent 19 years wrongfully imprisoned based on acts of corrupt detective.

Fernandez v. City of New York: With co-counsel Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, obtained $12 million settlement for 25 years of wrongful imprisonment based on NYPD detectives’ police misconduct.
